Monsters U Krispy Rice Treats

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and its client.

In celebration of the release of Monsters University on Blu-Ray and DVD, I made some fun Monsters U Krispy Rice Treats for my kids and had a viewing party. They absolutely loved it! Awesome Mom Award goes to...Mandy Bird! Thank you, thank you. Moving on.

I headed to Walmart to pick up the new release of Monsters University on Blu-Ray and DVD with an Infinity Mike Wazowski figure. I also brought home Sully. He needed a home. Then we made some scary treats for our party. Sully's fur, Mike Wazowski's eye and Squishy's face were how we decorated our treats.

We saw Monsters U as a family in the theater, but it was just as fun at home the second time around. Look at cute little Mike with braces...

I love when Mike and Sully meet for the first time in college.

We love family movie nights at our house. Now go pick up your copy of Monsters University and have your own viewing party. Get creative and make some scare-worthy treats while you're at it. These treats I made were super easy. I got all the ingredients at Walmart in the cake decorating aisle, not the baking aisle.

Ingredients
Rice Krispy Treats (homemade or store-bought)
Blue frosting
Purple candy pearls
Green frosting
white edible sculpting dough
black edible sculpting dough
candy eyes
black piping gel

Directions
For Sully's Fur:
  • Pipe blue frosting onto rice treat using the star shaped tip of a cake decorator.
  • Sprinkle some purple candy pearls onto the "fur".

For Mike Wazowski's Eye:
  • Spread rice treat with green frosting. Shape the sculpting dough into the white eye shape.
  • Add some blue coloring to the white for the iris; shape into a ball and flatten to a circle.
  • Shape a little piece of the black sculpting dough into a ball and flatten for the pupil.
  • Place the pupil onto the iris and the iris onto the white of the eye; place whole eye onto the green frosting.

For Squishy's Face:
  • Place a dab of black piping gel onto the backs of 5 candy eyes.
  • Place onto rice treat.
  • Shape the piping gel into a smile.

Verde Nacho Casserole Meal Recipe

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.
I have mentioned how busy life is.Whether you are married or not, have children or not, life is BUSY. Especially now that our kids are getting older. My two oldest take piano lessons, my oldest daughter takes dance and plays basketball and has physical therapy for her knee once a week. Not to mention the fact that we live 25 miles from town where all but the piano lessons take place. So we are on the go a lot. But I don't want my kids to miss out on activities just because we live far away from everything. Dinner on those nights is an easy meal like tacos or pizza. I have another quick and delicious meal to add to my arsenal: Verde Nacho Casserole.

I shared this photo on Instagram of the beginning stages of making this casserole.

And once it came out of the oven, I couldn't wait to top it off and dig in!

The Kraft Recipe Makers in Verde Chicken Enchilada is what I used to make the Verde Nacho Casserole. See that bottle of Creamy Ranchero? It's the bomb dot com. It is creamy like ranch dressing, but with a spicy kick. I love it! So does my husband and that is crazy because we rarely like something at the same time.
Make this tonight! You can find them in the pasta aisle.

Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

I don't know one person who doesn't love Girl Scout cookies. I have always loved them. My favorites are Tagalongs, Samoas, and Thin Mints. I have seen many girl scout recipes out there and I am sure you have, too. Once a year is just not enough for me to enjoy Girl Scout cookies. I am super exicted about this limited time product: Nestle Crunch Girl Scout candy bars!!
You heard me!

I'm even more excited because they come in my 3 favorite flavors!! Thin Mint, Caramel & Coconut (Samoa) and Peanut Butter Creme (Tagalong). What are the odds of that?

I went on a shopping trip at Walmart and found these in the check out line. So look closely for them. They aren't available in all stores. I had to go to three different Walmart stores to find them. They are only available for a limited time so you better go buy some before they're gone!

Once I got home, I had to try them all.

They are just as delicious as they look. I love the Peanut Butter Creme the most because I love peanut butter.

Be sure to check out Nestle on Twitter and Facebook.

Bubble Up Breakfast Casserole with Velveeta Cheese

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

Breakfast is one of my favorite meals. Which is funny to say since there's only 3, but it's still true. I don't always make a big healthy breakfast because my husband is off early to farm with my oldest son in tow, the girls wake up at different times, and I don't do early mornings especially having a 4 month old who still needs to eat during the night. But when I do make a good breakfast it's gotta be good. And fast. This casserole using Velveeta Cheese aka Liquid Gold is good and fast. It has Velveeta for crying out loud. And bacon.

I went shopping at Walmart (which you can see here) to buy this delicious liquid gold and found it among a lot of other cheeses. It was not in the refrigerated section, but on the regular aisle.

I brought some home to make this delicious casserole for breakfast. It's so good the way it is, but you could add other veggies like onions or green chiles and top it with some hot sauce if you want. The Velveeta melted down so smooth and kind of blended in with the eggs.

Ingredients
6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 can of Pillsbury Grands biscuts, 8 count (I used the flaky layers kind)

1 C. shredded Colby Jack cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
salt
pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Quarter biscuits and place in pan.
  • Top with cooked bacon, Velveeta and Colby Jack cheese.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  •  Pour over cheese and biscuits.
  • Bake 30-45 minutes, until golden brown.
  •  Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Check out Velveeta's Facebook page and Twitter, too!
